Simple Food Class

After developing life threatening food allergies, weight gain, and depression, doctors gave me the solution of medication so that I could continue to eat whatever I wanted.
I had friends who were living a raw food lifestyle and it seemed extreme to me.  It took me a while to realize that life threatening food allergies, weight gain, and depression are pretty extreme too.  My food intake had been mostly bread, meat, and cheese–and sometimes vegetables.  I set out to make my food intake mostly vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds–and sometimes meat.
Raw food makes sense.  It’s easy, my body knows what to do with it, and it is clean burning fuel.  I’m not an extremist.  I am an omnivore.  But I do eat about 80 to 90% raw vegan.
I’ve lost 25 pounds (my husband lost 40), and my depression is gone.
Now people look at me and say, “What are you doing?  I want to know how.”  So this class was born.

Save the dates!  We start each class with dinner first so that you get a chance to sample what we’re making, then we move into food preparation.
